> 3rd Division - Coolum vs Buderim - Result: 4 - 3
Coolum hosted Buderim on friday night looking to secure third spot on the ladder and build a gap on the trailing pack. The match was high tempo from kick off with Buderim throwing everything forward and Coolum doing well to keep Buderim at bay. Buderim did take the lead in the 18th minute with a superb volley which found the top left of the net and then went 2-0 up after 25 minutes with another good finish. Coolum were well in the game and the lads still knew they could pull the game back. Matty Chilton answered the SOS with a brilliant side foot finish to make it 2-1. Coolum were building momentum when Buderim returned serve and went 3-1 up which was a slap in the face to some degree. The score at halftime was 3-1 to Buderim and Coolum knew it, producing their best 2nd half performance of the season to date. Matt Chilton scored his brace in the 53rd minute for a 3-2 scoreline then Coolum tied it up when Shane Clair scored for 3-3. Then with 10 minutes remaining a poor tackle from a Buderim player gave Coolum a free kick out on the sideline. Ryan Daley stood on the ball a metre from the sideline and five metres from the corner post. Nearly every player was in the 18 yard box preparing for the ball in when Ryan by-passed them all including the keeper and slotted it top left corner from the right hand side. An amazing goal to an excellent Coolum side who deserved every bit of their 4-3 win.

Round 5
> 3rd Division - Coolum vs Maroochydore - Result: 4 - 2
The 3rd division took on maroochydore on friday night in perfect conditions and on an excellent playing surface at home. The game kicked off with both sides very physical and challenging for everything. Maroochydore won a free kick in the 25th minute and scored from the set piece taking a 1-0 lead. Coolum replied within 3 minutes of Maroochydore scoring with a well taken goal from Shane Clair to tie it up at 1-1. Then only 5 minutes after Coolum’s goal a Maroochydore player found himself in a very fortuitous position and scored to make it 2-1. Halftime had come and gone with Maroochydore putting 11 players behind the ball trying to defend their lead. Some people might have agreed this was a move by Maroochydore that was used to early with Coolum’s attacking power and it was proven too be their downfall. In the 54th minute Matt Chilton broke free of the Maroochydore defence and beat the keeper one on one with a superb finish for a 2-2 scoreline. Then only ten minutes later Coolum’s Ryan Daley found space and scored a great goal for Coolum’s first lead of the match at 3-2. Coolum sealed victory when Matty Chilton secured his brace and Coolum’s fourth for a 4-2 win.
